Recorded in Louisville Ky on the night of September 17th as the sun had just set in Tyler park under the old stone bridge. Several other songs were recorded in the early morning of the 18th as the energy from the pleasant evening in the park carried away with it the revelers of the Autumn Equinox concert.
Louisville natives hosted Salvatore Geloso and North Star as special guests. Alex Udis, Sazi Thomas, and Heather Summers bless us with their gift of sound and song as well, creating a cohesive moment in time when one could truly believe that summer is never over, that street lights don't go out, that boys don't stop playing ball in the park, that troubadours don't stop playing under bridges, and friends don't ever stop gathering together on each-other's porches and carrying on until last call at the Hideaway Saloon.
To add closure to this special moment in time, the last song on the album is the reunion of Salvatore and Sarah McCoy at the Spotted Cat music club in New Orleans. The song was performed on the fly, astounding everyone who was lucky enough to witness this extraordinary moment in time. It is my greatest pleasure to share these moments with you, for they can't be replicated in a studio, or rehearsed for tv. They are moments of true authenticity.
